In detail

Points of interest: Carbajal Valley, Motorcycle Museum, and Haruwen distillery. Hidden Lake, Fagnano Lake, Historical Estancia La Carmen, and active beaver dams.

Enjoy the tranquility of the afternoon amidst lakes and forests. After picking you up from your accommodation, we will take National Route N° 3 towards the Valley outside the city.

Along the way, we’ll have the opportunity for several photo stops at scenic viewpoints. Our first stop will be at the Carbajal Valley viewpoint, to appreciate views of snow-capped mountains with hanging glaciers and reddish peat bogs at the valley’s bottom.

Next, we’ll head towards Haruwen, a place that houses a Fuegian Gin distillery and a motorcycle museum. We’ll have a tasting of this white spirit. Continuing our journey, we’ll head to the Garibaldi Pass, where we’ll observe Hidden Lake from a vantage point at 430 meters high. Next, we’ll reach the shores of Fagnano Lake, reaching Historical Estancia La Carmen.

This place was formerly used as a resting and supply post before the construction of Route N 3, which crosses the Andes Mountains. At the estancia, we’ll be welcomed by the owners, and there we’ll share a snack. After a moderate walk, we’ll explore the active beaver dams, and with patience and silence, it’s possible to spot these animals in their natural environment. After this experience, we’ll begin the journey back to the city, arriving around 20:30/21:00 hrs.
