City Tour Below Zero

The Bajo Cero City Tour is the most comprehensive excursion to get to know the city of Ushuaia and its surroundings. In this experience, you’ll get the best tips on where to eat, shop, and what to do, as well as the history of human occupation in the region.

We’ll start our tour by visiting the La Misión neighborhood, from where you can appreciate the entire city at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. As we continue, we’ll stop at the most iconic signs of USHUAIA, where you can take unforgettable photos of the end of the world! While touring the historic center of the city up to the former prison site, visiting places that marked the history of Ushuaia’s growth, our guide will provide detailed explanations of what we see and even what we don’t.

To conclude the tour, we’ll visit the base of the Martial Glacier, where we’ll spend about 1 hour. In this place, you’ll find the Tea House, a picturesque little cabin that preserves the Fuegian architectural style, as well as a mountain refuge with a ski school for beginners and a beer point.

Our guide will provide crampons for safe walking on the snow and lead a short hike through the reserve. Passengers who prefer not to walk with the guide and want to engage in other activities should consult the group leader for availability of time to do so, whether it’s having a drink, visiting the Mountain Refuge, or enjoying something warm at the tea house. If they choose to stay at the location, they can do so, as long as they inform the guide and keep in mind that they will need to return to the city center or their hotels on their own.
