Travel to the town of El Chaltén and take the trek to Cerro Torre that will take you to Torre Lake and its impressive glacier, guarded at the bottom by Cerro Torre.
An indescribable place, crossing part of the Andean Patagonian forest, which will leave you perplexed by its unique beauty.
We will start our activity with the pick up from the hotels at 06:00 AM (in the months of June and July the departure will be at 07:00 AM). Then we will take the mythical Route 40 along the Argentino Lake and we will start our trip towards the town of El Chaltén, 220 km from El Calafate. On our way, we will cross the Santa Cruz River, and we will stop for a few minutes at the Estancia La Leona, next to the river with the same name. There we will make a bathing stop and you can enjoy homemade cakes and something hot to drink (not included).
We will then continue on our way to El Chaltén. Once in El Chaltén, we will leave you at the beginning of the trail to Cerro Torre, where the trekking starts. The trail has constant slopes but without much complexity… 18 km round trip full of incomparable landscapes await you.
On the trek you will be in part of the Andean forest. If you are lucky, you may be amazed by some of the local fauna. When you arrive at Torre Lake, you will have enough time for lunch. For lunch you can choose to hire the excursion with or without lunch, however if you don’t want lunch you should make sure to bring your own food.
After enjoying the stunning views, the lake and the glacier that lies at its feet, you will return to the town of El Chalten where we will be waiting for you at a previously arranged meeting point to return to El Calafate.

-The published rate corresponds to the excursion without lunch, in the case of choosing this option, you must bring your own lunch, during the excursion it will NOT be possible to buy it (ask your salesperson for the rate with lunch included).
-Not appropriate for wheelchair users, people with reduced mobility, or pregnant women.
Children: Suitable for people over 16 years old without exception.
RECOMMENDATIONS: A bottle of cold water | Snack (nougat or cereal bars). | A spare pair of socks, gloves and hat. | Flashlight or cell phone with battery in case it gets dark. | Lightweight backpack. | Trekking shoes if they are at the ankles better and that fit well so as not to lose crampons and waterproof clothing. |Cell phone with battery to use the flashlight just in case.
